Diagnostic x-ray / CT equipment templates live in the Equipment library. Radionuclide constants are not populated here unless a reviewed, legally usable dataset is entitled. Do not invent half-lives, emissions, or dose constants.
Where to assign sources
- Generic equipment catalog — modality templates with blank unsupported numerics
- Project → Equipment & sources — create equipment from a template or manually, edit, duplicate, archive/restore instances, and manage linked source positions in mm coordinates
- Project → Room designer — place/link geometry source markers graphically
Equipment & source lifecycle
Every project equipment instance carries a lifecycle status and a provenance ladder so reviewers can see how much is actually known about a placed source.

Delete is only available for unreferenced Draftinstances; everything else must be archived so calculation history and audit trails are preserved. Equipment/source changes bump the project's equipment revision marker and mark any existing calculation cases stale rather than discarding them.
